The Creative Writing club is new this year at Alta. It’s not too late to sign up. They meet every Friday in Mrs. Graff’s room 2303. This club is for those who like to write fiction, whether about goblins, unicorns, or just flowers chatting about the weather.
“I found myself feeling extremely excited,” Mrs. Graff said, when asked how she reacted when asked about hosting a creative writing club. When asked about the benefits of joining, she said,“You get to be around like minded people.”
At the beginning of the meeting each person can share something they have written during the month and get feedback on it. After everyone who wants to has read, the group is given a prompt. The prompts are pulled from a Google form that club members add to. After a couple minutes of writing each person shares what they wrote, usually in small groups depending on the amount of people. There will be refreshments at the meeting which are brought by members of the club. The refreshments are organized with a Google form to sign up for bringing drinks and a treat. This club is a wonderful way for people to share their writing and meet new friends who also like to write.
