In a hard fought battle underneath the Friday night lights, the Alta Hawks faced a tough defeat against the Olympus Titans 30 to 10. As they regroup and refocus for this week’s game against the Brighton Bengals who are 6-1, the Hawks look for a huge bounce back win this week against the Bengals, as they look to rely on these players to make some prime time plays this Friday!
“Our goal is to make it far through the playoffs and potentially reach a state championship game,” says Defensive End/Linebacker Cole Albrecht on his goal by the end of the season.
Albrecht is definitely determined to bring Alta a state championship, but he knows along the way that they are going to need to work very hard and listen to their peers and coaches. Albrecht has 2 division 1 offers to Iowa State and Washington State. Albrecht’s future looks bright and expect him to have a great season.
“I look up to Quarterback Tucker Brown because he comes in everyday and works his tail off, and he battles adversity like no other,” says Wide Receiver Evan Morton on who he looks up to inside of football.
The stars start to align on why the 2 connect on so many touchdowns so far this season, and this definitely explains their chemistry, and why Evan Morton currently leads the team in touchdowns with 7 so far!
“I hope to achieve 130 tackles, but anything over 100 tackles would be ecstatic,”says Linebacker Bennett Coester on his personal goals by the end of the season.
Coester for sure has big goals, but with the way he is playing this season they are definitely attainable, and he looks determined to tackle these goals. Coester is currently the leader in tackles for the Alta Hawks with 63 and counting.
The Hawks may have suffered defeat last week to the Olympus Titans, but are more motivated than ever to go into the “Jungle” and knock off the 6-1 Brighton Bengals at 7 o’clock. Come ready, all sneaky and camouflaged out. And be ready to see the Hawks get back on track!
