The Hawks Girl’s Basketball team is clearly capable of some incredible things. Before the two losses to wrap up the season, the Hawks had an impressive blowout. Alta topped Highland with a score of 73-21 on Tuesday, February 4th. At the end of the first quarter, the two teams were tied at 10 apiece, but after that, the Hawks took flight. Alta outscored Highland 63-11 in the remaining three quarters, putting up an impressive 28 points coming out of the break.
The girls play #21 Skyline tonight at home at 7:00 pm and, according to maxpreps.com, are projected to win by 7 points. This win would move them into the second round against #5 Cedar Valley. The Hawks will have to bring their A game, just like they did against Highland to make it to the quarterfinals. Alta has the potential to go deep into this bracket.
