What is Club Rush?
As the school year kicks off, students start to get a routine. But high school is more than just school, it’s about making new friends and figuring out what you like to do- that is what Club Rush is for. Club Rush was during both lunches on Sept. 3rd and 4th. At Club Rush, students found places for them!
Not only was it a good chance to do what you love, it was also a good time to explore new things. Clubs are a chance to make new friends and make new experiences.
Senior Lucy Denzer excitedly says, “I’m excited to see what new clubs there are this year and to see who signs up for the same clubs as me!”
Why join a club?
You should join a club so you can figure out what you like to do. You can also make new friends who like to do the same things as you. But you shouldn’t just do what you like to do, you should try things you haven’t tried before. Joining clubs can also help make your resume and leadership skills. If you weren’t able to join a club this year, you can always go online and do it on the school website or do one next year!
Freshman Vivian Lucero says, “I’m excited to join a club for a chance to make new friends with similar interests.”
Clubs to join:
Some popular clubs that could have been joined include FCCLA, DECA, HOSA, and FBLA. But there aren’t just CTEC clubs, there are clubs like ASL club, Drama Club, Chess Club, etc. These clubs are an amazing way to pass the time, hang out with friends, and just share what you love with other people.
