Ranking teams and how it works- The seeding for the tournament’s bracket is determined through a form that is sent out to everyone where they can rate out of ten stars how much they think a team is going to win and support their favorite teams and guess how they think the games are going to go. They then put together a bracket and the teams battle it based on these predictions.
With 28 teams playing in the volleybrawl tournament 4 remained undefeated in the semifinals. First up hacky sack vs boys soccer. After a close game the hacky sack team came out on top. A great effort from both sides created a great game to watch. Zac and Adam from student gov were on the announcer and gave some great commentary, contributing to the hype of the game.
Next up was CTE vs Boys Basketball, a tough game with volleyball players on both teams, the Basketball team was determined to make sure CTE didn’t make it to the finals this year too. At the last seconds of the game tied up, serving was CTE, and boys basketball fumbled. Leaving the finals up to CTE and Hacky Sack.
This year’s tournament concluded in an exciting final match held during the Homecoming assembly. The finalists were the CTE department and the Hacky Sack club. After a hard-fought battle, the CTE team emerged victorious winning by 5 points, securing a close win and the title of Volleybrawl champions for 2025.
