Wakey Wakey Wednesday
Homecoming week is full of fun and exciting activities! But on Wednesday we had a fun day full of pancakes and ice cream.
Warm pancakes for Wednesday!
Hopefully lots of you went early on Wednesday and got some yummy pancakes. Outside of the main entrance there were some tables set up with a pancake station. They also had giant tubs of syrup. So pancakes and syrup for everyone. They had a station set up so someone was making them and on the grill right in front of you so you know they are fresh! According to one student she said “ These pancakes are actually so good, they are so sweet and delicious.” When you walked in the halls you could see lots of kids standing and enjoying their pancakes with friends. The pancakes were perfectly golden brown, as well as still warm! After being interviewed another student said “These are so good, I could literally eat these every day!” Did you know pancakes are an ancient food? Pancakes possibly existed as early as 30,000 years ago! That is really old and now we can make them everyday and even at school!
Creamies at lunch
At lunch on Wednesday they set out a table at the back of the cafeteria with tons of creamies. They also had many different flavors to choose from. They had coconut , chocolate , banana, and oranges. I saw almost everyone at lunch eating a creamie. After eating a coconut creamie one student said, “ I did not even though they made coconut creamies, but they are so good.” Did you know that creamies are actually a Utah thing. They were originally made in Cache Valley, Utah. There are many different flavors of creamies and we got to taste a few or their many flavors at lunch.
