The Alta Hawkeye asked students to write about a drawing done by a student at Alta. This was the results:
“When you are left alone to stab the earth in shame What high or mighty throne Would standards proclaim? You are your own Noble With every flaw on your plate Is each dent still honorable To reveal all mistakes? Left alone, to stab the earth in guilt Left alone, to kneel down and grasp the hilt Yet as surely as your beating heart There’s nothing left but again to start When you again have the strength you are here so stand tall”
