Alta Robotics rookie teams for First Tech Challenge (FTC) headed to State Championship last Saturday on March 7th. Two of Alta’s teams that were rookies were Unhatched plans 31834 and Wait on our Shoulders 33748, both teams earned there tickets and competed against other teams from different schools in the state from Beehive academy and Hillcrest High.
Alta went against the best in Utah which were veterans and knew what they were doing, still these rookies from Alta was able to compete and be on the same level as the veterans. Christopher Maupin was the head coach and was able to help his students and team make it to the state championships, but the students on these teams also proved that Maupin was a big step in this new competition, they poured their sweat and tears into the work that got them to where they are.
Though the team isn’t going into International competition they have one more competition of the season which is in April 16th-18th.
