This tragedy hit hard because all nine people in the car were students at Cyprus High School. Losing a classmate and having others in the hospital has left the whole school in shock and grieving. To help everyone cope, the district sent a crisis team of counselors to the school so students have someone to talk to about what happened. On top of the emotional weight, the crash closed down part of 4100 South, so students who usually take that dirt road to school have to find a new way to get there for now. The teens who were involved in the accident were the ages of 15-17.
