High school is fun for many reasons. One of the main ones being getting your license. Being able to drive wherever whenever is so much fun. Hanging out with friends all night and enjoying yourself. However, a big danger is driving unsafely, especially if you are under the influence. The article, “The grief in our home is constant’: Family of teen killed by DUI driver pleads against parole.” talks about and states how a 13 year old boy was hit and killed in a DUI case. This of course had a huge effect on the family. This is just one of many cases that others have been killed from DUI’s. People act out of character and do very reckless things while driving under the influence. It endangers not only the driver but also the people around them. If there is ever a situation that you are unable to drive safely due to being under the influence, please contact someone else to drive. Stay safe hawks!
