Alta High School’s Peer Leadership Team selling Candy Grams at Lunch

Alta High School’s PLT Candy Grams

Alta High’s Peer Leadership Team is selling Candy Grams for students to send to their friends or romantic interests. The money raised from candy grams will go toward buying school supplies and other prizes for PLT to give to elementary school students.

This, however, is not the first year that PLT has put this together. According to Louren Hodges, Alta has done candy grams for over five years. Candy grams are available for purchase during lunch for $1 and online for $1.25. There are multiple flavor options for the lip shaped suckers, including raspberry, orange, bubble gum, and grape.

“The best part of candy grams is getting to talk to people and surprise them,” Maren Stone continued, “I love to see the excitement on people’s faces when their name is called out to receive their sucker. ”

On top of the candy, students can include a kind message to the recipient. It truly can lift someone’s mood when they know that someone thought of them. Sending a candy gram is the perfect way to make someone’s day while putting money towards a good cause.
