Gaming and streaming TV shows and movies became the way to pass time during the Covid-19 Quarantine.

Due to the recent outbreak of COVID-19, or as it is more commonly referred to as the coronavirus, everyone has had to stay at home under self quarantine. And this isolation has mentally tested us all in our ability to stay sane and functioning in a strange situation.

Many students at our school have watched television and played video games as a way to cope and relax during this difficult time. One such student is Gabe Beninati who has been “playing DOOM Eternal between various online assignments.”

Others have been catching up on their sleep since the now have an overabundance of time on their hands that they don’t know what to do with

One such person is Nick Delgado who says that “He sleeps all day and his bed has become his new best friend.”

Others, regardless of what they do to try to take their mind off the isolation, they can’t help but feel that their social lives are diminishing or feel a bit depressed.

Such as Dattyn Bartschi who said that he felt that he “had finally started to make good long-term friends that [he] could hang out with on a regular basis but now that’s all gone thanks to the virus”

Or Auri Parr who “is suffering from his first form of real depression” continues to say that “it’s not a serious depression but more like serious cabin fever.” So, many people are feeling the strain and pain of the current situation.

Even still, some try to alleviate stress by making light of the situation by saying things like maybe this will kick off the apocalypse and we won’t have to worry about school anymore.

So, no matter the situation everyone has been feeling the stress and aggravation that has come alongside this quarantine.
