Senior Activities to End the Year

Graduation is just around the corner and as 12th graders are wrapping up their high school career, the school is hosting a few final senior activities.

The first of these activities was senior sunset on May 11th. Alex Berry, an Alta High senior explained that “It was so fun to be with all of your friends and just take a second to look around and see all of the people that you have gone to school with for so long”. After watching the sun rise on their senior year back in September, seniors watched the sun set together as their high school careers come to a close.

Senior Dinner Dance will take place on May 20th from 6:30 to 10:30 pm at the Loveland Living Planet Aquarium. This year’s theme is “When can I see you again?”.  The dance will be semi formal and tickets include access to the aquarium, dinner, and the dance itself.

The graduation ceremony is May 25th at 10 am at the Huntsman Center. All seniors that are walking must attend graduation practice on the 24th. There are a lot of emotions surrounding graduation as it marks the end of a chapter for the 12th graders at Alta High School. Wyatt Esplin stated that he is excited for these final activities because “it’s going to be so fun to experience something that is dedicated to [seniors] and realize that we have made it to the end.” He explained that it is also scary going into the future and not knowing what to expect but is excited to move on and face what comes next.

The Pepperwood Community also holds an annual graduation party, but that is not endorsed by Alta.

These senior opportunities are a perfect opportunity to soak up all the time left with your classmates, so make sure to come make some memories.
