New Biology Teacher joins Faculty Mid-Year
Meet the new biology teacher Mrs. Williams!
Alta welcomes a new biology teacher this semester, Mrs. Autumn Williams.
Mrs. Williams grew up in Idaho and is the oldest of six sisters. In high school, she played in the orchestra and was on the debate team at Madison High School. During her Sophomore year, she fell in love with biology and knew it was something that she loved to do.
When Mrs. Williams graduated high school, she attended Brigham Young University. She participated as a student teacher and ended up loving it, something that further encouraged her to become a teacher. Her time in college wasn’t like the average person however, she had the exciting experience of participating in “…an internship at NASA after my junior year.”
After college she found herself at Alta, teaching her first semester outside of a college classroom.
The most difficult part about teaching for Mrs. Williams is that “It’s hard to know how to connect with students and how to manage a big classroom.”
Her life doesn’t end when she walks out of the building though. She has many hobbies which include “reading, playing the violin, and playing the piano.”
Mrs. Williams is very excited to be a part of Alta. “I love working with a unique and exciting staff. Everyone is welcoming and has diverse personalities,” she said.
