It is awarded for creating peace, fraternity, and disarmament. The award has brought international attention to the situation in Venezuela and challenges that opposing figures face. The Nobel Committee expressed that the prize was given to recognize efforts that reinforce democratic processes and civil rights. The Nobel Peace Prize acknowledges individuals whose actions influence peace, cooperation, and human rights worldwide.
