On March 12th, 2026. A Mohamed Jalloh walked into Old Dominion University armed. Mohamed Jalloh walked into an Army ROTC classroom and fired upon the class killing the Head Instructor. Shortly thereafter, students in the ROTC classroom had killed Mohamed Jalloh.
Who Was The Shooter?
Mohamed Jalloh was a former member of the Army National guard who had previously been convicted of attempting to assist ISIS in providing supply’s to them. He pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 11 years in prison.
Who Was Attacked?
The shooting was allegedly targeted at an Army Reserve Officer Training Corp class. The ROTC class is a program college students can join to be trained to enter military service. The instructor of the class, Lieutenant Colonel Brandon A. Shah, was tragically killed during the shooting. Two other students had also been injured by the shooter.
What Does This Affect?
After this, the Navy put out an order that all ROTC and JROTC programs under their jurisdiction no longer have the authorization to wear uniforms for the time being. This is most likely for the safety of cadets in the program. This also has had students all over the country mourning the victims and their families.
