Tryout Time: Girls Basketball

It’s that time of year again basketball tryouts are happening. Tryouts happened on November 10 & 11. There have been open gyms happening for the past couple of months but this week is the last week of open gyms. After being interviewed one student said, “There are lots of freshmen trying out this year, that I know of!” On day 1 of tryouts started at 2:50 p.m. after school on Monday November 10th 2025. They lasted 2 hours, and happened in the Alta gym. One student said there were a lot of scrimmages and drills, but overall it was very fun. Students were informed if they did or didn’t make the team a couple of days ago on the team instagram. All students who made the team switched into a basketball class with all the teams (JV, Varsity, and Frosh). All the students who made the team got their practice jerseys and real jerseys, along with lots of other clothing items. I interviewed one student after the tryout’s happened and she said, “ I’m so excited to have made the team, and I can’t wait for this upcoming season.”
